The loneliness haunts in the old age, takes away all the hope to live and keep nagging about thoughts of suicide.

It’s not about the number of people around you:

You can be around many people and still feel lonely and sad. In the nursery, there was always someone around the sick but that doesn’t stop making them feel lonely and sad.

Having friends who understand you, cares for you, and know about is a blessing to cherish for a lifetime. That’s why it’s important to stay in contact with buddies.

Getting back in touch with oldies bought immense joy to the sick patients in the nursery.

Pot-smoking friends :

Some people who I thought were quite good friends were actually not comfortable around me at all, unless I was stoned with them.

The author reveals that in her younger days most of her pot-smoking friends enjoyed her presence when she was high, but when she got back to normal her real self, they felt uncomfortable to be around her.

Impressing those friends means being stoned all the time would only mean destroying more of yourself.

Know who your true friends are, who understands you, cares about you, loves you for who you are & not coz of money, or your toxic habits.

Are you friends with someone because you have a common toxic habit, will they still be your friends if you quit smoking and alcohol?

Will they be around you even when you stop spending money on them?
If yes, then that is a sign of a true friend.

Those who accept you as you are, and who know you very well, are worth more than anything in the end.

You are seconds away from talking to your friends.

It doesn’t have to be a long or purposeful call.

Don’t let your older ego “why should I make the call first” get in bw your friendship.

Burry the crappy self-judgments like “what would he think of me” or “Is it the right time” or “Nothing special, what should I talk about” from staying in contact with your real buddies.

Stay in touch with your buddies
