Steps I followed for video editing this reel:
Stabilized the video:
I have hand shot this video, So it was a bit shaky. I used wrap stabilizer in Adobe After effects to stabilize this video without cropping. I used Stabilize & synthesize edges for it.
Correcting the White Balance of the video:
I should have set the white balance while shooting, but I forgot it, a lesson learned. Any way I’ve corrected the white balance in post during editing using lumetric color effect.
Correcting the Skin tones:
I’ve corrected the skin tones, using HSL Key of lumetric color, increased the blur and denoise of it. Made sure skin tones fall on the diagonal of the vector scope YUV to give the natural skin tone look.
You can find it in window > enable Lumetric scopes section.
Adding a Lens blur reveal effect :
For the reveal of the real, I added camera lens blur effect in the beginning of the video.
Color grading:
Made the background a bit teal bluish, to give that cinematic orange and teal look.
